Level 10 Overview: Prototype (Placeholder?) Asterite's Cave

  This level is pretty close to how Level 0 (the placeholder Asterite's cave) is laid out but it has future sprites. The Asterite is also fully assembled here. It was probably going to be where you went in the future to meet the Asterite, then it was later turned into a very long puzzle stage in the Final version.  


 
Here we are around the surface of the water. This level quite clearly uses the backgrounds, water surface and rocks from the Good Future levels.


Jumping high enough into the air to activate the sky palette, we can see the 'cubic mountains' glitch on the background is not present in this level.


Proceeding down and to the right just like in Level 0, we find a cave containing the Asterite. He's using the same tiles as in Level 0 as well. He has no messages and won't talk to you.


Nothing shows up on sonar, not even Ecco or the Asterite. There is basically nothing to do in this level, and no exit (unlike Level 0, which had a teleport ring exit.
