Level 1 Overview - Prototype Globe Holder

This is a prototype version of the Globe Holder. The background is patterened like the one in the final version, but the sprites are different. The walls are a mess of improperly-connected sprites, and the colors are off. The bubble-chain attaching the Globe Holder to the walls is not properly colored nor properly transparent. It never loses its chains or breaks open, and there is no way out of the level. If you pause, the Globe Holder floats offscreen for some unknown reason.

Here we are in the majestic ... First Stage. All the levels' title cards are named in this fashion, just placeholders.

Here is where we start, with a prototype version of the Globe Holder to the right ... apparently before it had a name. Due to some palette problems, the bubble chain attaching it to the wall is only partially translucent. Note how the wall tiles are different and don't tile properly, and the background is a lot different. It matches the color scheme of Level 15.

If you pause the game, the Globe Holder will float and scroll across the screen. It's not clear at this time why this happens.

Here's the Globe Holder while healthy .. it's mostly a solid purple with the veins not well pronounced. It can be damaged by charge-sonaring it.

.. and here it is after having been ripped a new one. It does show damage, but never ditches its chains, never charges at Ecco and can't be broken open-- there is no known way out of this level.
