Just wanted to drop u a line to say that I love your site! I visited the old one about a year ago and loved it also….ao glad to know that there is someone out there who loves Ecco as much as I do
People just don’t understand how great it was, the whole package, the music to the graphics to the actual game itself. It was so ahead of it’s time and I feel it is like art actually. Keep up the great work and thanx for the site

I was never very good at Ecco (kept on drowning :s) but it is one of those games which is very dear to me – mostly because of the soundtrack. Thanks for providing me with the haunting 16-bit synth action! I’m listening to it right now

i just want to compliment all of you who have made this website. i have been an ecco fan for years now, and i have been visiting this site for a while. everything you do is simply awesome. i can even find the mp3′s to the games here, as well as look at the various versions of the game and so on.

Hello. Ecco for sega CD was probably my favorite game of all time. I have heard of a PC version and I was wondering what soundtrack does it play? Is it the CD or genesis soundtrack, or something else entirely? Thanks
According to Caverns of Hope, it uses an abbreviated version of the Ecco CD soundtrack. It is missing tracks 10 (The Tube), 11 (Welcome to the Machine), and 14 (unused),and it cut short tracks 6 (Undercaves; 5:24->3:45) and 8 (Pteranodon Pond; 3:29->1:58).
The Ecco the Dolphin series represents the best of video gaming and what it means to truly capture the imagination. The beauty, mystery, and depth of its storyline and adventure rivals that of Zelda, Myst, etc. In a day full of 1st person shooters and gore (I beat James Bond for the Wii today), I still think back to this game often. I find the way that the Ecco games connect the player to the natural world particularly attractive. Dolphins are amazing animals, and to make one the star of a successful video game series is commendable. I remember writing in my journal at 9 or 10 years old about how great this game was. Now I am 25, and have found my way back, just soaking up the nostalgia.I think I will buy them for the Wii soon. And by the way… whoever did the music deserves some kind of an award.
Hey, don’t know if you got my email, but the confirmation code images on your forum are all dead (the pictures with the numbers and letters you have to input for registration). Muy Importante you get that fixed if you want the site to grow!
Also, I’m still very serious about organizing some sort of race/competition via livestream. I tesed the idea out with my friend irl; we played skytides at 200% speed with a no sonar condition. It was really hectic and fun. A multi-bracket competition along those lines seems to me like a really good way to attract some attention to the site!
